Incheon-daegyo Observatory (Oceanscope)
Incheon-daegyo Observatory is the best view point where visitors can see the panorama of Incheon-daegyo and view the beautiful scenery of a sunset in the West Sea. Walking up a few stairs, visitors can see the open mudflat and Incheon-daegyo which is 21.38㎞ long and its foundation tower is as high as the 63 Building in Seoul.
Incheon International Airport
Incheon International Airport is the most advanced airport which is always under development with a goal of becoming the hub airport in Northeast Asia. It is the largest airport in the world and is equipped with various convenience facilities. From Yeongjong-daegyo, visitors can enjoy mudflats and the sea leading up to the entrance of the airport.
Museum of Korea Immigration History
This museum was constructed in 2003 in commemoration of Korea’s 100th anniversary of immigration to the Americas in order to remember our ancestors’ frontier spirit overseas and to teach their accomplishments to our descendants. It re-enacts the scene of departing Incheon Jemulpo Harbor by the USS Gaelic, the first ship that carried 101 Korean emigrants to the US in 1902, and displays the emigrants’ belongings at that time. Presently, the museum is displaying some 130 exhibits among 4,400 relics related to the history of Korean emigration.
Tri-Bowl
There are many extraordinary buildings in Songdo International City which cannot be explained by simple geometry. Among the buildings, the Tri-Bowl is definitely the most exquisite. It has an upside-down shell structure, boasting the beauty of flowing curves. From any angle of view, the building shows flowing curves rather than straight lines. This architecture received the “This Year’s Architectural Culture Grand Prize” award at the Korean Architecture Culture Competition 2010.
Songdo Convensia
Songdo Convensia is a state-of-the-art convention center with five spacious floors. It is capable of hosting 450 exhibition booths, various exhibition events, and performances. Meeting rooms are equipped with advance information technology such as wireless internet, voice-operated cameras, and LCD projectors. The convention center can house over 2,000 visitors and provides excellent services and amenities for various banquets, family events, weddings, and more.
Songdo Central Park
Songdo Central Park, located in an area of 410,000㎡, is an open rest spot located in the center of Songdo, where many skyscrapers are densely located. It consists of five distinctive theme parks, and it is Korea’s first “Sea Lake” that was constructed by drawing in seawater from the sea. In addition, visitors can enjoy cruising along waterway while taking a water taxi called “Michuhol”.
