'Lt. Col. Kim Jong-wook, Commander of the Republic of Korea Army Support Group that oversees KATUSA Soldiers assigned to the U.S. Army in Area I, relinquishes command during a formal ceremony Dec. 16 in the Camp Red Cloud Physical Fitness Center on Camp Red Cloud in Uijeongbu. Kim was replaced by Lt. Col. Lee Il-soo. Kim held the position for 36 months and moves to a new assignment. KATUSA Soldiers in Area I are assigned to the 2nd Infantry Division and the U.S. Army Garrison Red Cloud and Area I. Among those attending were Warrior Country senior leaders, including Maj. Gen. Thomas S. Vandal, Commanding General, 2nd Infantry Division, and Col. Jack Haefner, Commander, U.S. Army Garrison Red Cloud and Area I.
